Fellows, Residents, CV Team Members and Medical Students are encouraged to submit a poster abstract for the Midwest ACC WIC Symposium Poster Contest. Trainees can win prizes and share their work with regional cardiology leaders on-site at the WIC Symposium this June!

The 2025 Midwest WIC Symposium’s Poster Contest is open for submissions!
CV Team members, Fellows in Training, Residents & Medical Students are welcome to submit research or case studies for consideration by January 31, 2025. There will be an award for first, second, and third place in each category.
Presenters will be judged on the following criteria: originality, scientific content, presentation and answer to questions raised by the case. Winners will be announced on-site at the 2025 Midwest WIC Symposium.

We want to show you how rewarding it is to be a cardiologist! All trainees interested in Cardiology (Fellows, Residents, Medical Students, Pre-Med Students) are invited to join the Minnesota Chapter of the American College of Cardiology (ACC-MN) and its Women in Cardiology (WIC) section to explore this important and exciting field of medicine.
Join us for networking, a panel discussion and career exploration with Minnesota-based cardiologists representing the ACC-MN WIC Section. Refreshments will be provided.
Registration is now open for the 5th Annual Midwest ACC Women in Cardiology (WIC) Symposium to be held on June 25, 2022 at the Women’s Athletic Club in Chicago, Illinois.
This symposium aims to share knowledge and best practices with all clinicians who care for female patients to improve the overall cardiovascular health of women. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend in person or virtually live the day of the symposium.
Female FITs are encouraged to submit abstracts and male FITs are encouraged to submit abstracts investigating women and cardiovascular disease or topics that help women cardiologists succeed in their careers. Cash prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd best abstracts.
This year’s keynote speaker is the Immediate Past ACC President, Dr. Dipti Itchhaporia, whose presentation will be followed by an interview by several female governors of the Midwest Chapters about her journey to her presidency. The morning program will address various common cardiovascular diseases, focusing on sex differences. The afternoon program is packed with panel discussions and breakout sessions to help cardiovascular clinicians and scientists navigate their careers.
